‘The Winner’ awarded at Barcelona festival

Iranian short flick ‘The Winner’ has been awarded at the 19th Barcelona Human Rights Film Festival in Spain.

‘The Winner’, directed by Ali Keivan, won the award for best guide of the festival, as well as the award for photography and art direction, media reports said.

The film is about the new bicycle that Vahid’s father has brought to him to take part in a contest, and that’s very similar to his friend Alireza’s stolen bicycle.

The Barcelona Human Rights Film Festival aims to “show films that make us think, awaken our conscience, denounce injustice and reflect the social and cultural diversity of humanity”, according to an online submission platform.

The 2022 edition of the festival took place earlier this month.
